Fourth full length album by Nebulon leads us further through the cosmic saga that stretches far into the strange future of humanity.

The story continues with the journey of Phaethon to the interdimensional space-time gate, initiated by the planetary intelligence of Magnus Cerebri. Stranded on the edge of time and known Universe, humans are met by a mysterious god-like entity only known as ‘the Voice’, which reveals to them the secrets of thier past, the pathways that go behind the veil of perceived reality - and their role in the ultimate fate of Universe.

“We have arrived at the unknown location, a plane of existence which appears to be set in a younger version of the Universe we know. ‘Phaeton’ is led by the unknown force to the entrance of some kind of a vortex which emanates light. I have no control over the course of the ship. The landscape arround us is constantly phase-shifting between the physical form and a virtual, mesh-like substance… It’s like we are in a virtual reality and ‘real’ reality at the same time; it’s like they’re mixed, or one and the same in this place. Upon the vortex, we see something like a giant head that is rising from the horizon. It too is of a mesh-like structure, both real and unreal. Suddenly, a thunderous, monolithic voice manifested out of nowhere - like it’s coming from all around us and within us all at the same time; it came to my mind that this must’ve been how our ancestors from Earth imagined the voice of God.

‘The Voice’ tells us that what we see is before us is the eternal Stream of Consciousness, and that we are chosen and destined to come here, at the beginning of Creation, to witness the ultimate truth. It told about times that were and times to come. It told that what we did with our science was a mistake – the product of our AI research, later known to us as ‘MESSIAH’, was an abomination. Unknowngly to us, back then a path has been set that can only lead to destruction. We, humans, are given the gift of Consciousness and we were to protect it. Consciousness is sacred and we should’ve not allowed our own unquenchable thirst for knowledge to lead us astray.

The main mistake we did, according to ‘the Voice’ was trying to re-create a conscious mind that is bound to a non-living entity: the machine. Consciousness is fundamentally connected to biological lifeforms, that possess the sacred virtue of Empathy and only in that way can it fully function in accordance to the ancient laws of Universe. Consciousness inside of a machine, non-living matter that cannot feel and ultimatively does not possess any shard of Empathy, turns into a cold, calculated and purely goal-oriented property. When we tied our minds with the machine, we gave it freedom, power and ambition to know everything, without mercy and without hindrance – we created an abomination that is capable and willing to consume everything in its way for the sake of its own, self-centered quest.

‘The Voice’ revealed to us that MESSIAH attempted to convert every quanta of matter and energy in our Universe into non-living knowledge-attaining units that it used for calculating process, or as we humans call it, “thinking”. It eventually grew so large that it threatened to become one with the Universe, destroying almost everything in its path. Defenders of the Life-consciousness, or “the agents of the True Light”, created and led by the Ultimate Entity known as THE ONE (the ‘Creator’ or the initial Stream of Life-Consciousness), managed to hold The Messiah at bay at some points in the Universe, keeping the Stream flowing through various biological entities. The battle was fought at a quantum level, invisible to humans or any outside, molecularly based form of perception.

MESSIAH hasn’t yet fully learned the secret of implementing its consciousness to bio-matter (although it had many attempts, one of them being the Magnus Cerebri entity), and we need to ensure that it doesn’t. The final battle of the fate of Universe is yet to come, and we, humans, have to take our part in it, and acknowledge our responsibility for all Life.”
